I’m Jessica, a 20-something that has lost control of her life and is trying to wrangle it back via the internet (the perfect plan! What could go wrong?)
I love photography, videography and traveling. In spite of my entire profession revolving around recording things, I have found that I tend to be pretty terrible at documenting my own life. So I initially decided to start this blog to give myself a dedicated place to chronicle my adventures so that I have something to look back on one day.
My first international trip was at 12 to England, Belgium and France, and since then I’ve been hooked on traveling. I had a great study abroad experience in college. After that ended, I figured that I wouldn’t be able to travel for a long time after graduation (due to having to live in the real world and all that.) After a couple years trying to ignore the draw of travel and settle down into a “normal life,” I realized that it wasn’t going to work. So I decided to do everything I could to dedicate my time to traveling as much as possible. I’m not a trust fund baby and I didn’t have a six figure job to fabulously quit to start a life of travel, but I’ve found my own ways to see the world on a budget. Now I am (finally) in the process of switching my life over to full time travel.
My goal is to see as much of the world as possible on my own terms while sharing my experiences and things I’ve learned. I hope that this blog will exist as a place for others, like yourself, to get tips and insight on travel (and at the very least a place to chronicle my mistakes so others can avoid them.) Maybe you’ll also get inspired to visit somewhere you wouldn’t have otherwise.
